I’m renovating my original victorian bathroom. I am staining the original wainscotting to a mahogany stain. I’m looking for color matches that would go with the stain and stay within the victorian period. Are there any websites that show different bathroom color schemes?

I have seen this victorian decoration mixed with balinese decoration, the result is awesome. I keep imagine how about mixed with other indonesian culture….. Thanks for sharing this information, helps me to more understand about victorian decoration.

I love the Victorian style, especially because it’s the kind of look that you can develop over time, adding pieces bit by bit until you’re happy with the total aesthetic. So many of the modern homes I see today are so empty — nothing hanging on the walls, no accessories, bare windows — they end up feeling cold and unwelcoming.

I love the way different styles come in and out of fashion. There could hardly be a bigger contrast for boring minimalist modern interiors than the cluttered heavily decorated Victorian style.
